Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why should I use a Celebrant for my ceremony?
A: Including a celebrant in your ceremomy will help give it structure and allow you the freedom to socialise and celebrate with your guests! I will write your ceremony and give you loads of ideas on what to include. PLUS, if you or your family members are nervous about speaking in public, I will do it all for you! Yay!
Q: How much does a celebrant cost and what does this include?
A: This celebrant (Lizzy!) will cost you $250. I will write your ceremony and provide you with a variety of choices to include for the readings. I will bring my own PA system so that all of your guests can hear anyone that makes a speech and I will provide a lovely Naming Day certificate to everyone who participated in the ceremony (usually god parents etc). I also have a table and chairs if they are needed for the ceremony (to rest things on or perhaps you need a seat because the baby is getting a little heavy!).
Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: Obviously there are certain times of the year that are busier than others, so I recommend that as soon as you know your date you send me a message so we can start the planning process and book you in!
Q: What is the shortest lead-up time you need to organise our ceremony?
A: Providing you have the time to conduct a face-to-face meeting with me, I can organise your ceremony within a week of meeting you. However, my availability will depend on my bookings at that time.
Q: We're a little bit different and so would like to have our ceremony on the beach, can you do this?
A: Yes. We can hold your ceremony wherever you would like, however if the location is outside the local area, there may be an additional cost for travel.
Q: Do I have to pay you a deposit?
A: Yes. This will guarantee that I will not take another booking on the date you requested. The deposit can be paid in cash at the face-to-face meeting or via bank transfer.
Q: Do we have to feed you on the day?
A: No. A Naming Day is about you celebrating with your family and friends so shortly after the ceremony concludes I will make a discrete exit.
Q: How much time do you need to set up?
A: I will arrive approximately half an hour before the ceremony is due to start.
Q: How do I book you?
A: Simple, send me a message or call me and we can start the ball rolling!
